Government and Municipal

The pressure on owner operators to comply with Government regulations, has never been greater.

Knowing and understanding what each regulatory agency expects, what they reject, and what they willing to negotiate is the difference between a four-month approval and a fourteen-month one.

Navigating the complex and ever-changing world of Government and Municipal laws, bylaws, policies and regulations can be daunting, which is why we’ve built a team of experienced professionals to help.

Our team members have direct experience working with Government at all levels, and across each function and branch of Government, including National and Federal, First Nation and Indigenous Governments, State and Provincial, Local authorities and Municipalities.

Regulatory and Permitting

Our team prepares, submits, and manages environmental permits across British Columbia and Western Canada — daily work with the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship (WLRS), the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals (MCMM), the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOT), the Ministry of Environment and Parks (MOE), Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), the BC Energy Regulator, the Environmental Assessment Office, and local government planning departments.

Each submission is prepared by a qualified professional with experience working with regulators, adjudicators and senior inspectors. By working directly with regulators to verify each step in the process, we are able to advance the applications to submisson ready status.

From baseline studies and impact assessments through to Mines Act permits, RAPR assessments, DFO authorizations, EMA discharge permits, Water Sustainability Act licences, and EAO submissions where required — we manage the regulatory path so the rest of the project can stay on track.
